Primarily Monday – Friday (1:00 am – 9:30 pm); some weekends, holidays, evenings and nights.
Job Summary
To provide spiritual and emotional support to pediatric and adolescent behavioral health patients, their families and the staff, primarily in Kentucky Children’s Hospital.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Interpersonal and customer service skills, work independently, organizational, administrative and clerical skills, excellence in written and verbal communication and ability to work within a team. Ability to utilize knowledge and skills while working in a professional environment.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? NoPreferred Education/Experience
Required: A Master of Divinity (preferred) or Master of Theology. Four units of Clinical Pastoral Education from an
ACPE accredited training center; endorsement by a religious body as a chaplain and Board Certified or eligible for certification through the Association of Professional Chaplains (
APC), National Association of Catholic Chaplains (
NACC), or Neshama: Association of Jewish Chaplains (
NAJC). Preferred experience in an adolescent behavioral health.
