Postdoctoral Scholar US-OR-Portland Job ID: 2024-29725 Type: Regular Full-Time # of Openings: 1 Category: Postdoctoral Portland, OR (Waterfront) Overview A postdoctoral position is available to work with a collaborative, international group of scientists to understand early pancreatic cancer biology. We are looking for an engaged, dedicated, and curious scientist to develop primary human pancreatic organoid lines to investigate the onset of early oncogenic phenotypes and interrogate mechanisms of interaction with the tumor microenvironment. This work will be informed by spatial profiling of normal, pre-malignant, and cancer tissues. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cell culture, preferably with organoid and/or 3D culture systems, as well as in a range of molecular and cellular biology techniques. This position is funded by a recent award through the international alliance for cancer early detection (ACED) in the lab of Dr. Ellen Langer. Dr. Langer’s group works within the Cancer Early Detection Advanced Research center at the Knight Cancer institute. Responsibilities
