Internal Communications Manager

GPC is looking for an Internal Communications Manager to support day-to-day communications as the team continues to build and enhance employee communications around our global strategy and business goals. This individual will be a member of the GPC Corporate Communications team, reporting to the Director of Internal Communications, and will serve as the primary lead for Technology communications, as well as support HR / Benefits initiatives. The GPC Corporate Communications team supports our mission by helping to build a world-class employee experience for our teammates. As the Internal Communications Manager, this individual will partner with internal teams to communicate programs and initiatives from inception through launch, providing an employee-focused lens on all communications.

Responsibilities Include

  • Serve as the lead content publisher for the intranet platform, supporting the global strategy while managing content and contributors.
  • Develop and manage a range of internal communications, including emails, newsletters, intranet content, campus communications and other employee engagement initiatives.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Technology, HR/Benefits and other internal teams in constructing compelling, technically strong and engaging communications.
  • Create clear and defined processes that allow the communications team to rapidly scale as needed.
  • Partner with external communications to share news internally.
  • Maintain and monitor GPC internal communications editorial calendar.
  • Serve as lead for change ambassador program, supporting initiatives throughout the company.
  • Provide initial analysis of communications results via dashboards or analytics reporting.


Qualifications Include

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communication, marketing or other relevant areas.
  • 7+ years' experience in writing, proofing and/or editing copy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, prioritizing clarity and brevity


  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to demonstrate personal impact, influence and persuasion.
  • Excellent imagination and creativity in developing communications through traditional and digital channels.
  • Ability to think and do - generating ideas while implementing them, all while balancing speed and quality.
