Responsibilities

• Work with other senior members and team leads to plan and implement the payments platform and services design, development, and maintenance
• Collaborate with other cross-functional teams to clarify product requirements
• Develop engineering solutions and develop tools to improve efficiency and productivity of payment solutions
• Lead the junior engineers in developing responsive, scalable, and maintainable payments systems and in code reviews
• Mentor junior engineers and guide them through complex projects and solutions
• Maintain the payments architecture to ensure maximum performance, stability, and reliability
• Maintain high security standards in all designs and solutions
• Ensure adherence to development best practices and industry trends

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on building payment systems
• Extensive experience working with data structures, algorithms, data modeling, and schema design
• Proficient in multiple high-level languages, like Go, Java, Python, or C++
• Solid understanding of Serverless and Microservices architecture
• Expertise in designing and building APIs, data pipelines, and tools to deploy, test, and perform CI/CD
• Sound knowledge of modern SRE/DevOps practices and culture
• Familiarity with AWS ecosystem
• Experience with different payment integrations is a bonus
• Great analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
