Overview

Assist the Maintenance Supervisor as needed, and temporarily stand in for Maintenance Supervisor as the need arises. Will oversee assigning qualified mechanics to the various mechanical task throughout the shift. Will assure the equipment is properly set up for the next shift. In addition, will ensure proper safely procedures and GMP’s are being followed.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures.
• Follow company polices.
• Other duties that are reasonably associated with the above essential functions of the job.
• Create and issue work orders using SAP.
• Supervise: Maintenance Technician III, Maintenance Technician II, Maintenance Technician I, Maintenance Technician Trainees, and combination, no more than seven individuals at a time.

Qualifications

Experience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring:

• Must be able to perform all duties and responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician III
• Must be able to train and qualify personnel on various processing equipment.
• Must be able to extract and use data from Technical Manuals
• Must process mechanical skills necessary to troubleshoot, repair, maintain and overhaul varies food processing.
• Lead others effectively and coordinate work and ensure job duties are completed.
• Act in Supervisor’s role in their absence.
• Diagnose, analyze, investigate, and correct all/most causes of mechanical malfunction of processing and plant equipment.
• Have knowledge and understanding of Word, Excel, and Outlook

Education & Certification:

• High Scholl Diploma or Equivalent Preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to climb stairs.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to squat, kneel, climb and crawl over and under equipment.
• Requires climbing, standing, stooping, twisting, lifting, and other physical movements to perform the job.

Work Environment:

• Industrial plant environment with related noise and temperatures
