Job Description:

Will manage marketing & sales activities and assume responsibility for product management, to include product planning and strategies for commercial and military aircraft customers worldwide with primary responsibility and focus in composites components and assemblies in the Aerospace, Space and UAM/eVTOL markets. Individual will work for ITT Aerospace Controls located in Valencia, California.



Responsibilities

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Make frequent direct sales calls to drive growth, retention and profitability and optimize market penetration.
  • Establish Account Prioritization and Planning to drive growth for assigned accounts and monitor progress
  • Provide an Annual Sales Plan/Forecast to support business growth, operating budget and strategic planning objectives
  • Manage established accounts, providing service and contractual support.
  • Penetrate new accounts to drive growth and profitability
  • Organizes and manages sound proposal preparation, pricing establishment and quotation activities.
  • Remains cognizant of all pertinent competitive activities worldwide, including technical developments and market share data.
  • Gain competitive product/pricing strategies and information
  • Produce effective logistic and time planning of sales activities, travel planning, and prioritizing.
  • Produce effective verbal and written communication for activities and sales reports, customer correspondence, etc.
  • Forge effective communication and working relationships with Inside Sales Representatives and Inside Sales Supervisor necessary to manage and grow customer base.
  • Direct, coordinate and expedite factory resources necessary to meet customer requirements.
  • Assist with advertising and sales promotion programs.
  • Assist with Aerospace Controls participation in trade shows and other industry activities.
  • Proactively seek, identify and recommend potential teaming and acquisition targets, in conjunction with the leadership team.
  • Effectively utilize MRP System as well as basic understanding of business software programs (Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
  • Recommend, investigate and document new product opportunities.
  • May be responsible for supervising other employees.

  • Product / Application portfolio diversification (against goal)

  • Sales / Marketing operational budget adherence

Requirements:

Should have Bachelors Degree (BSME, BSEE or BSAE is helpful) with 4+ years outside aerospace technical selling experience; possess significant initiative and ability to develop, implement, and achieve ambitious stretch goals. Successful candidates should have strategic alliances with several key contacts in the aerospace marketplace. Sales Management experience and working directly with Manufacturers Representatives desirable. Overnight travel (35%) domestically and internationally as required. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse and global employees, including the ability to motivate, energize, and enhance performance of team mates. Polished presentation and communication skills are essential as is the ability to travel domestically and internationally.
