We are currently seeking a talented Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic team.

As a Software Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and reliability of our web and database applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute comprehensive test plans, conduct end-to-end and regression testing, and provide detailed documentation throughout the testing process.

**Responsibilities:**

- Review and analyze business and technical requirements

- Develop detailed test plans and scripts based on requirements

- Execute end-to-end and regression testing

- Develop and execute complex SQL scripts for database validations

- Document test scenarios and results

- Provide detailed defect documentation and participate in the defect triage process

- Communicate testing results to stakeholders

- Update necessary status reports and provide updates during meetings

- Develop and maintain standard testing processes and documentation

- Escalate issues to leadership if needed

- Actively participate in team meetings and mentor/train team members

- Assist with operations support tasks and special projects as needed

**Requirements:**

  • High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in technology or quality assurance.
  • 3+ years in a role involving system testing, including database, web and windows GUI applications.
  • 3+ years’ experience developing test cases utilizing business requirements and system requirements for database and web applications.
  • 2+ years developing and executing complex queries.
  • 2+ years’ experience with QA/QC standards and best practices. Experience generating and communicating recommendations for continuous process and tool improvements.
  • Strong working knowledge and experience with relational databases.
  • Experience with batch processing and with validating batch transactions, logs, and database results.
  • Experience identifying and escalating business/project risks and participation in risk mitigation strategies.
  • General knowledge of testing methodologies including white box, black box, positive and negative testing.
  • Knowledge and experience with the concepts and application of test automation technology and automated test tools preferred.
  • Must have a experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and proven experience successfully managing to release schedules with several stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Experience testing Mobile websites is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office products. Must have strong MS Excel skills.
  • Insurance or financial industry experience is a plus.
