Primary Job Posting Location: Macon, GA 31207Additional Job Posting Locations: (Other locations that this position could be based) Job Details:Mercer University TRIO Program is searching for a Director of the Educational Opportunity Center.
Responsibilities: The Director of Educational Opportunity Center directly oversees a federal TRIO Educational Opportunity Centers project serving 10+ counties in the Middle Georgia area. This includes being responsible for the supervision, training, and evaluation of staff; program development, fiscal and grant management; maintenance of student service data; maintenance of appropriate records of participants, activities, and eligibility; oversight of preparation and submittal of federal and state annual program reports and proposals for grants. The Director will directly supervise approximately five FTEs as well as additional student staff. This position reports to the Executive Director of Federal TRIO Programs and Minority Affairs. Qualifications: A master's degree in student affairs, public administration, social work, education, or related field and four years of outreach experience or teaching experience (combined), with at least three of which must be in providing support for the administration and management of programs serving students that are first-generation, economically disadvantaged, and/or have a disability. Candidates should also have experience with grant management and experience supervising staff. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the university's carrier.
