Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for Dietetic Technicians who assist Dietitians by performing routine duties related to the nutritional care of patients. Duties include documenting initial nutrition screening and on-going patient follow-up care under the supervision of a Dietitian; referring high risk patients to the Dietitian for assessment; writing and modifying patient menus based on physicians' and Dietitians' orders; performing calorie counts and documenting results in the medical record; evaluating patient outcomes and adjusting care based on the patient's response; training and educating dietetic interns and students; and serving as a resource for the Nutrition Services office and food service staff.

Registration: Must possess and maintain current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration as a Dietetic Technician.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, while being attentive to verbal and non-verbal cues and nuances. The candidate will possess the ability to work through problems, provide solutions and recommend improvements. Additionally, the candidate will be a valued team player who effectively manages time, while considering departmental deadlines.
One (1) year of experience as a registered Dietetic Technician in an acute care hospital is highly desirable.
