The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking qualified and enthusiastic individuals to join our Forensic Services within the Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) division of agency. This announcement will be used to fill permanent, full- and part-time, rotating shift positions at Forensic Mental Health Program. Currently, we are hiring for ten (10) full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) positions all on rotating shift which includes day and evening hours. Forensics Services provides mental health evaluation and treatment services to individuals diagnosed with a mental illness who present a risk to public safety. This is a safe and secure treatment environment. The LPN performs entry level practical nurse duties while providing quality therapeutic and person-centered care to people with mental and physical health issues. Under the direction of the charge nurse, work is done according to established rules and procedures. Entry level practical nursing work may include but is not limited to:
